A tank is to be made of sheet metal. It is to have a square base and be open at the top. what is the least area of metal that can be used if the tank is to have a volume of 32m^2

You can't have a volume of 32m^2. Do you mean 32m^3?





Let l be the length of the sides of the square base of the tank,


h be the height,


and A be the total area of metal used.





Now volume = l * l * h = 32m鲁, so h = 32 / (l * l)


and A = l * l + 4 * (l * h)





Plot a graph of l (= length of base) against A (= total area of metal used) and find the minimum. or you can cheat and use excel, and get 48m^2 to be the minimum area. That means base length of 4m and height of 2m

Pie X Dia.= circumference ie 3.14x54=170mm is the width of the sheet reqd.You have not given the length of the cylinder,multiply that length with circumference will give you the area of the reqd.sheet.I do not understand what do u mean by development size.

I bought a used motherboard and the I/O panel was apparently for a different motherboard. The holes didn't match the motherboard connector jacks (keyboard, mouse, USB ports, sound, etc). not really needed.
The panel is pretty much just to keep dust out and sometimes provides info on what each port is for. Unless you'll be using it in a particularly dusty environment, I wouldn't worry about leaving the panel off, as it doesn't ';connect'; to the motherboard or anything. It's just a hunk of metal. :)
