Can i cut sheet metal with a wire feed welder?

I want to cut lines in sheet metal kind of like a plasma wouldCan i cut sheet metal with a wire feed welder?
Use a good straight edge or free hand just crank up the amps high enough to melt the metal.Can i cut sheet metal with a wire feed welder?

No problem, but it won't look like a plasma would. High heat ,fast wire feed. I normally use a cheaper gas co2. steady hand, light grinding Good cutting my Friend!!
first chalk it out on the sm then go to town make sure its hot enough to cut a clean through
