How much paint do I need to paint 1 meter square of metal sheet?

Less than a quart. Two - three coats. One of those being a primer unless it's already primed/painted (and no, ';already colored from manufacturer'; is not a primer or paint)

no the little samples they sell of 1/2 pints will not be enoughHow much paint do I need to paint 1 meter square of metal sheet?
For spray application, the standard calculation is 1 liter paint will cover 6 - 7 square m surface for 1 layer application.

If You need to do with more layer, the calculation need to be time with the layer You did.

But the consumption of the paint is also depend on many other aspect such as: how do you spray (how skill You are), the spray gun that You use to spray, the quality of paint, the quality of finishing desired, etc.
