Hand tools of that trade , their names and uses.
Layout books for making sheet metal items, this is like a plan or blueprint book.
If you will be possibly working in a large shop doing commercial/industrial jobs their lay out uses computer driven equiptment, a whole different thing from the old methods.
Develope ';spacial'; thinking as far as how simple shapes would look as they are a flat piece of sheet metal, this comes easy for some, not easy for some others.Sheet metal??????????
Try asking in the engineering section.
In the UK it's usually ONC %26amp; HNC or HND in mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering, or an Engineering degree in related fields.
If It's leaning towards auto work, then Automotive skills would be handy and you would end up in restoration or accident repair.
Or Heating and ventillation engineering - making up ductwork.
I did sheetmetalwork as part of my apprenticeship, and besides a lot of other things , made my own toolbox, and a lot of tools inside it.
I wonder if they still do that ?
