How to add strength to sheet metal part?

Hi. I a looking for an answer relating to adding strength to a sheet metal part. If anybody has some ideas or suggest some good web sites, please let me know.

Thanks in advance. How to add strength to sheet metal part?
The strength will depend on the design of the product.Use lot of fillet radii if design permits. Avoid sharp bend if you can, use cold rolled material rather than hot rolled one.Observe grain boundaries to decide orientation of a particular operation like bending. You may also try to reinforce certain weak areas with webbing or frame structure. Try forging the chamfers on the holes instead of drilling them. How to add strength to sheet metal part?
Consider using corrugated sheet metal, attach metal strips to edges as reinforcement or add angle irons as diagonals. Triangles are strong. Also, support the sheet at the middle to avoid panting. Good luck.
reinforce the metal sheet by stich-welding a cross-shaped angle iron frame on one side of the sheet.
There are quite a few options.

Depending on the properties required and the size of the sheet you could heat treat the part. Any metallurgy book will help you in deciding the right treatment to use.

Another option is to provide ribs and the like, if it doesnot interfere with the purpose of the part.
