How do you keep sheetmetal fron warping when you TIG weld in new sheet metal panels?

when welding in pieces on a flat panel sheetmetal warps is there a product out there that can stop or lesson the amount of warpageHow do you keep sheetmetal fron warping when you TIG weld in new sheet metal panels?
The method to avoid warpage is to start on the left side of the piece - move right maybe 6 inches and weld right to left. Then go about 6 inches from the start of your first weld and again, weld right to left. This spreads out your heat and prevents distortion. (you can reverse the process too and work the metal from the right side to the left also)How do you keep sheetmetal fron warping when you TIG weld in new sheet metal panels?
spot weld your piece every 2-3 inches apart on all sides.then, while welding, occasionally wipe area w/damp rag.keeping metal cool will prevent warpage
Keep the amount of heat put into the parts as low as possible, if you are welding edges then work from the top to bottom or vice versa - the point is to allow for movement . The best practice is to have the parts connected with the least amount of heat distortion. Use a sponge and bucket of water to drip on the weld after you let it cool - observe what is the next most logical place for the weld - you have to practice.
spot weld first, depends how big your proj. is.
