How to cut inside sheet metal?

I have an 8 inch by 8 inch square of sheet metal.

I want to cut a 6 inch by 6 inch square in the middle of that square keeping the frame intact.

I was thinking of using a hammer and chisel, but I was wondering if there is a better and easier way.How to cut inside sheet metal?
Drill a hole in the middle of the square, then use jigsaw with metal cutting blade or tin snips, depending on thickness. How to cut inside sheet metal?
first drill a hole in the middle of where you want the square then use tin snips and take your time
Tin snips or a jig saw with a good metal cutting blade.
drilling a hole is the easy way and use tin snips
