Can a 1965 Mustang that has a vinyl top be converted to a hardtop without much sheet metal work?

It is not going to be bad at all if it did not rust undrneath. The problem with the vinyl tops is that if water gets underneath, it will rust, and the more rust as you know, the more work. My 68 stang was a vinyl top, and my cousin painted it, and now it is a straight hardtop. You should not have much work unless the rust got to it. Best of luck! Can a 1965 Mustang that has a vinyl top be converted to a hardtop without much sheet metal work?
If the option was a ';Vinyl covered Hardtop';:

Just rip off the vinyl of, pop the trim, fill the holes, sand off the glue and you're good to go... You'll need to pull the front and rear chrome trim to do it right. Can a 1965 Mustang that has a vinyl top be converted to a hardtop without much sheet metal work?
