If it's just some surface rust you can try WD40 and a scrub pad. Sand paper or steel wool is also an option. If it's heavier you could buy a rust remover called Naval Jelly. You can get it at most hardware stores. It's usually pink. Spray RustBlast keeping it wet for 20-30 minutes, scour as needed.. then Rinse with water
use this, me. after it dries you can clean it with a nylon scrubbie and re-treat it and your rust will never return.
