Who sells sheet metal that's easy to manipulate but still holds it shape?

I need a small piece of sheet metal (about 7'' by 7'') for a project but I need to be able to bend it with plyers or make impressions in it with a hammer or something like that. Does Lowe's and Home Depot sell that thin of sheet metal? What about Hobby Lobby or Micheal's? Thanks.Who sells sheet metal that's easy to manipulate but still holds it shape?
My local hardware store sells tin, but I live in a farming town. They have a big 36'; roll of sheet metal and cut off however much you want. I've never tried to buy it at a home center though. They might have it. A place like Ace Hardware would be the other place to look. It's definitely something guys buy occasionally from hardware stores along with tin snips.Who sells sheet metal that's easy to manipulate but still holds it shape?
You might contact a HVAC company and just ask for some scrap peices. They would probably just give you a small peice, or even cut and shape something for you, if you wanted. Tell them its for a school project or something. The kind they use for ductwork would probably be just right. It is galvanized, about 1/8 inch thick, or less. They always have little peices laying around. Just look in the yellow pages under HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) or air conditiong services. Or do a local search for sheet metals.

If you are even the slightest bit cute, I'm pretty sure a shop full of guys will help you for free. Go right up to the shop door and ask them, not through the office.
I recommend Copper Sheet metal.
